Simplistic storyline, with shallow characters, which should have been fleshed out more and given an in-depth history and broader description of each character as a person. I found the story irritating in it's shallowness, as a lot more could have been done with the scenario. I persevered to the end, to see if the story improved later in the book. I think more depth of conversation between the characters, would have improved the story. (Talking about problem issues achieves far more than guessing what the other character is thinking). The lack of real communication between the characters, was one of my main irritations with this book. As I read the book, I kept wondering how old the author was, as it felt like the writing of a High School student. Perhaps a few more years of study, in the art of literature might help? It also had the usual editing problems, which should have been ironed out before publishing. The confusion that many authors seem to have, regarding tenses - present, past and future, when constructing their sentences, is so common in e-books, that I'm almost getting used to it. It's a pity that budding authors couldn't down-load a concise course on grammer, spelling and sentence structure, before writing their book. It would make reading their work, so much more pleasurable.

This one starts to pull together the mystery of why everyone is showing up with strange stuff in their blood and the dangers of living on the new planet of Alpha. I can't wait to keep reading to find out what happens next, this series reminds me of the Flash Gordon serials I watched as a girl plus a lot of hot sex.
Enjoined Two Men for Piper as much as all the other stories of The Men of Space Station One.
